MITSUBISHI MONTERO LIMITED

The 2002 Montero is available in two models: XLS and Limited. Both models utilize a 3.5L 300-hp V6 engine. The XLS is standard with a four-speed automatic transmission and part-time 4WD, while the LTD has a Sportronic five-speed automatic transmission and Active Trac electronic engagement for 2WD/AWD/4WD.

New features for the Limited are color-keyed grille, door mirrors and taillight bezels, while the XLS has a chrome-accented grille. Both models now have a spare tire cover that matches the body color. The XLS offers a Touring Package with such features as Ecsaine fabric seat trim, an Infinity premium sound system, and a power sunroof.

2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara

Suzuki has redesigned its compact sport utility vehicle for 2006 and emphasizes interior space and off-road capabilities. Under the hood is a modified version of the V-6 engine used in the automaker's flagship XL-7 model. Full-time four-mode four-wheel drive is available on upper-end versions. 

Suzuki includes six standard airbags, dual stage front airbags; driver and passenger in-seat side curtain airbags; and rear side curtain airbags. Other advanced active safety features include ABS, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and Electronic Stability Program for resistance to under steer (plowing) or over steer (spins.) Brakes are vented front discs and rear drum, and a 225/65R17 tire and wheel package is available.
