RIO SAN JUAN, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC:

small fishing and farming town about 100 km East of
Puerto Plata, Rio San Juan has a lot of natural
beauties that make it a preferred destination by
tourists and locals alike. The town has several
golden sand beaches and a natural lagoon with clear
water and unusual rock formations embraced by
spectacular mangrove trees with hidden caves and
beach areas, which attracts divers and snorkelers
all year round. You can take a boat tour to visit
the caves and the lagoon with a glass bottom boat to
see the crystal clear waters, a protected natural
park of the island.
Several beach resorts are established in the beach
areas, and accommodations are found throughout town.
Rio San Juan supplies a lot of the fish for the
North Coast of the island, same as Samana. The area
offers a quiet lifestyle in natural surroundings,
