Sosua Beach on Easter Weekends

Easter weekend holidays are very busy in Sosua, although on Saturday morning a light rain kept most travelers in their villa rentals until after noon time. Golden Treasures geared up with a Cessna aircraft, DLSR cameras and staff to shoot Sosua`s beaches and coastal land to its readers on Saturday. Travelers were still packing up to visit the beach and the rain kept us from shooting great images, only a few good ones. On Sunday most people were gone but the team managed to visit several beaches in Sosua, and the weather was more cooperating.

These images of Sosua Beach  ( below ) show a more renovated environment, feels updated with more businesses and renovated spaces. It seems the cruise ship passengers have created a new market and everyone`s trying to attract that kind of clientele by making their commercial spaces much better presented.  Places like El Pescador changed ownership and now it`s become an extension of La Bodega, a franchising restaurant that first opened in Cabarete.

The Golden Treasures team shot photos and video of the top 4 beaches in Sosua, including Alicia beach, Casa marina Beach and Paradise ( Imbert ) beach.  The photos and footage will be used to promote the destination internationally and will be available in the Golden Treasures Travel Guide and several top travel sites like Trip Advisor. The Sosua beaches video can be seen on Vimeo and also on YouTube ( broadcasted to 85,000 people in the first day ).
